About Me

Some call what I do a job, but helping people create their future by helping them live a better, healthier, stronger and longer life is not a job for me, it is a passion.

I grew up in San Francisco in the late 60’s early 70’s . We walked where ever we could. I spent most of my free time outside – I was a bit of a “tom boy” in my younger years. I’ve always liked physical challenges. I grew up with a love for the water and outdoors. Although I’ve had my share of office jobs, retail jobs and management positions, my free time always involved excursions of a physical nature. In my late 20’s & 30’s, bike riding became an obsession with me in between work hours. I married and eventually had a beautiful daughter, yet I still continued with my passion for physical challenges.

As life moved forward and changes I never expected happened (my mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s), I felt lost for the first time. I lived in a different state than my mother and could do little to help her. Although she received the medical help she needed, the lack of physical care she received was sadly overlooked.

My life made another abrupt turn. I found myself a single mother raising a six year old and needing a paycheck. I was still physically active and had always been glad to help and teach others while at the gym or riding on the road. Quite easily it came to me what I needed to do:

I would make helping people through physical fitness and healthy living my career!

I am a certified NPTI graduate (Personal Trainer and Nutrition advisor) as well as a certified Trainer thru NASM and NCCPT. I hold Group Fitness Instructor certification thru SCW and Senior Fitness/Function and Movement specialist thru NASM and have a series of specific individual and group class training certificates which continue to grow every year.

As a person as well as a personal trainer, I believe in helping people live a better, healthier, stronger and longer life. My passion and goal is to motivate and help people achieve their goals and increase their quality of life through education, exercise, stretching, proper movement patterns, nutrition and general healthy living.
